2020 Search for the Southern University at New Orleans Chancellor

 

The Southern University System (SUS) invites nominations and applications for the position of Chancellor for Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO).  SUNO serves as one of five campuses located within The Southern University System. Existing as the nation’s only  historically black university (HBCU) system in America, The Southern University Systems campuses include: Southern University and A&M College – Baton Rouge, Southern University Law Center, Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center, and Southern University at New Orleans. All campuses within the System are committed to excellence in research, teaching, and outreach. 

Opening its doors in 1959, SUNO serves as a major contributor to shaping the middle-class community of African Americans. For more than 60 years SUNO has remained a well-known staple in the historic Pontchartrain Park and beyond.   

With a solid foundation, a proven record of achievement, the Southern University System is seeking a dynamic leader who continuing building upon SUNOs legacy and its commitment to excellence.
