SU alum, Kellogg foundation trustee Joseph Stewart directs $500,000 to SUSF - Friday, March 27, 2015
a trustee of the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, Joe Stewart recently
directed a $500,000 contribution to the Southern University System
Stewart is chief executive officer of Stewart
Industries, LLC, an automotive components and related parts
sub-assembly company. He has been a trustee of the W.K. Kellogg
Foundation since August 2001. He and his wife, Clara are long-time
residents of Battle Creek, Michigan. Stewart is a retired senior vice
president of corporate affairs and chief ethics officer of W.K. Kellogg
The Maringouin, Louisiana native earned a degree in food
and nutrition from Southern University in 1965 and has been awarded an
honorary doctorate of science from Southern University, and an honorary
doctorate of public service from Albion College.
University System Foundation is grateful to be the recipient of this
generous gift. Collectively, Joe Stewart's contributions to the
Foundation, both corporate and personal, have exceeded $850,000.

May 15, 2015, at the Donald Wade House on the Baton Rouge campus of
Southern University and A&M College.
